TNDHA and Knox Area are excited to present this important  continuing education course regarding a serious issue facing many individuals today.  HPV and oral cancer are on the rise and it is critical as Dental Healthcare providers that we are educated about HPV.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted disease in the United States with an estimated 42 million Americans infected with HPV.  HPV is the leading cause of numerous preventable human cancers, including cervical cancer in women and oropharyngeal cancer in men and women.  Approximately 37,000 cancers are attributed to HPV each year, and among those, oropharyngeal cancers are the most common, accounting for approximately 15,000 cases each year. The purpose of this discussion is to review HPV related oral and oropharyngeal cancer with an emphasis on early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and most importantly, prevention.

Let’s share in helping to prevent, detect and educate about HPV and Oral, Oropharyngeal Cancer.

(This course will include but not limited on HPV-causes, affects, diagnosis, and treatment)
