Principles of Public Health and Evidence based Guidelines for Preventive Dentistry

Course Objective

  • The first course in the series will identify essential components of preventive dentistry and the goal of public health programs.
  • Evidence-based guidelines for preventive dentistry is reviewed by using the current clinical practice guidelines for caries control (2018).
  • Access to high-level evidence from the American Dental Association (ADA) systematic review website is provided.
  • The 2012 ADA/Food and Drug Administration guidelines for the selection of patients for dental radiographs is provided
