Colgate

Linda D’Amico, RDH, BS

Linda D’Amico, RDH, BS, is a Professional Education Manager for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, Inc. She is a Phoenix College And Grand Canyon University graduate. She is an Arizona native and currently lives in Anthem. She worked clinical dental hygiene in a retirement community and periodontal office during her clinical career. She is a long time member of American Dental Hygienists Association. She has been with Colgate 14 years and has given many virtual and in person presentations including being a speaker at ADHA, AGD, and CDA most recently. She has worked both in sales and Academics as a corporate speaker. Linda has 5 kids with her husband Todd. She and her teenage son volunteer weekly at a racehorse rescue ranch in Cave Creek, AZ. She loves her two dogs, they are her hobby.​

Lani McBeth

Lani McBeth is a Prevention Strategist, Clinician, Speaker, Author, and CEO of OWL: The Oral Wellness Link. She attended The University of Northern Arizona and received her BS in Dental Hygiene. She continued her education in Dental Hygiene at NAU while receiving her Licensure as an Expanded Functions Hygienist. Advanced learning has driven her to pursue education in business development, medical/dental coding, holistic/biologic dentistry, and nutrition. In her educational pursuits, she has found a balance in using Western and Eastern Medicine when working to find the oral-systemic link. She has received honors as a top clinician in her DH class, Hygienist of the Year in Arizona, and is a 2023 Sunstar Award of Distinction Recipient as a Full Time Clinician. In addition, she has been a National Speaker for Young Innovations, and Spear Education, assisted in Susan Cotton’s Oral Cancer Workshops, and served the Arizona Dental Hygiene Association.

Anastasios Karydis, DDS, MS, PhD

Dr Karydis is Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Dentistry, Department of Periodontology and External Professor at the Graduate Program in Biomedical Engineering, at the Herff College of Engineering, University of Memphis, TN. He earned his Dental Degree from the University of Athens, Greece (1996), worked in private practice and served as Flight Sergeant/Dentist at the Hellenic Air Force. He returned to school after moving to California in 2000, where he completed his Masters of Science (2004), Periodontal Residency training (2007), and PhD in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at the University of California San Francisco (2009).

He studies the common pathogenetic mechanisms that link periodontitis with systemic conditions and the role of oral microflora in systemic diseases, with focus on autoimmune arthritis, through his collaboration with the Memphis VA Medical Center and the Division of Connective Tissue Diseases/Rheumatology at the UTHSC College of Medicine. He also collaborates with the Herff College of Engineering Bioengineering Program on guided bone regeneration and local drug-delivery with novel nanofiber chitosan membranes.
